TOUR DESCRIPTION
White Water Rafting is a great way to experience the rush of the Naranjo & Savegre rivers. They’re mountainous topography gives you the opportunity to feel a rush of adrenaline and hear pumping in the most natural and enjoyable river experience. Rafting has become one of the areas top adventures, with only 1 hour drive to the rivers from Jaco, allows this tour to be a great half day / full day option of adventure seeking. There are a few top locations in Costa Rica for rafting and in the Central Pacific these are your two options. Overall length of half day tour is approximately 5 hours (transportation there and back, instructions, and time on the river.) Full day approximately 8 hours.
SEASONS CHANGE EVERYTHING
In Jaco, the Central Pacific area of Costa Rica, we have two remotely powerful seasons which we call: Dry Season (November – May) and Wet/Rainy Season (June – October). The rapids are level 3, the intensity of the rapids depend on the levels of water in the rivers, which the seasons have the complete control. Rapids can become less/more powerful than level 3. Depending on climate and rain storms the rivers may become closed and rescheduling will apply.
TRANSPORTATION DETAILS
Transportation is included with this tour. (There is an option without transportation if you wish to arrive direct) The travel time is about 1 hour to the rivers traveling South from Jaco. Recommended the change of clothes for the trip back to Jaco. Transportation is included from Jaco & Playa Hermosa, if outside this area a transportation fee may be applied.
WHAT TO BRING
A change of clothes is recommended for the ride back to Jaco, after your rafting adventure. During the raft you are required to wear close toe shoes (tennis shoes) for a safety. Plus have comfortable and well fitted swimwear. GoPro’s are welcomed, but honestly the footage is very rough. Anything else we recommend to leave in the room for its safety.
