Such an amazing tour!
We rented 3 side-by-sides and had an amazing tour with kine. He took us through rivers and up mountains to an absolutely incredible waterfall. He even captured awesome pictures of all of us the entire time! I would highly recommend AXR and kine as your guide!
4 hour tour of a lifetime!
We booked a four hour atv tour with a two up and had the ride of a lifetime! Our tour guide Pachi was so warm and helpful. He gave great details about the terrain and culture. Four hours seemed to fly by as we were able to see such a wide variety of Costa Rica. From the amazing mountain top views, to swimming in a private waterfall, driving along a black sand volcanic beach, and ending up at the majestic lookout point overlooking all of Jaco. What an adventure and beautiful way to see the incredible grandeur of Costa Rica! So glad we booked through axr.
INCREDIBLE!! EXHILIRATING!!! EDDY IS THE MAN!!
WOW what an day we had!!
My husband and I always love to book ATV tours when we travel, and this one might have taken the top position!!
We were promptly met by Eddy, our guide, in A SWEET side-by-side, right out front of our gates. He took us on a fun ride to Jaco, and got us all ready for our tour. Of course it was in the rainy season, so the hills were steep, slippery and muddy which We loved:) Eddy knew we ATV’d back home so he made it a bit more challenging for us, and that just made it SO much better. We flew through rice fields, up a gorgeous mountain, down steep terrain, and he brought us to a lovely waterfall. One of the highlights was actually the lunch place he brought us to in the middle of the rainforest, a humble little abode where we had the most delicious Costa Rican lunch with fresh, foamy pineapple juice. YUM…
We came flying down Jaco beach with huge mud splatters and smiles on our faces
Eddy, THANK YOU so much for being so professional, fun,and knowledgeable about ATVing and the area. WE HAD A BLAST! Can’t wait to visit again!!! JUST BOOK IT!
Must do activity in Jaco!
My family and I had a great time on the 3 hour waterfall tour. Our Guide, Diego, was absolutely amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable about the plants and wildlife in the area, and is extremely accommodating. The rainforest, views and especially the waterfall were breathtaking. I highly recommend this! And ask for Diego! He is the best!
Peto is AWESOME!!!!
My husband and I took our kids to Costa Rica and this was probably our favorite activity. The views were breathtaking, we got muddy and went to small restaurant at the top of the mountain. One of the best things about our excursion was our guide, Peto. He is very proud of his country and specifically Jaco and the area around it – he gave us a personalized tour. Peto made sure we had a feel for the local day to day culture. Thank you Peto!!!!! We will be back next year!
Mountain trails, waterfalls, river crossing
Our guide was PETO and he is great. Peto saw to it that we kept a pace that suited us but still crammed in 2 water falls, a hot sit down lunch, and crisscrossed rivers in 6, full, action packed hours. We rented a Buggy (2 seater, side by side bucket seats, roof and roll bar, with a rear luggage rack) in good condition, very peppy. My wife rode shotgun and her bad back never made a peep, that’s how good the suspension is, even on rough trail and while I drove fast over the ‘smooth’ trail. These were the mountains behind Jaco, gorgeous! We visited the Paca Yal waterfall and after lunch, the Gamalotillo waterfall and videoed cliff divers, Wow! Although we had already crossed puddles, streams and brooks we finished by crisscrossing a wide river: over and over, my wife’s favorite, got some water in the buggy, nothing it couldn’t handle, simply fantastic.
TIPS: Costa Rican dust will get on you head to toe, through a cotton t shirt, in your hair (ladies, cover your hair) (I wore a strap t shirt underneath that worked) a tight cowboy hat, a do rag, a multi scarf head mask (they sell) and wrap sunglasses (goggles next time). Tape over the microphone + speaker ports on the cell, wipe off the camera lense. I wore golf gloves to steer and wipe my eye wear, but deerskin or driving gloves are good too. I carried a microfiber towel in a pocket to wipe the rear view and speedometer (to time the gears at first) or just used gloves Wet the towel to clean later. A surgical mask under the scarf, eye drops and band aids are a thought.
I never drove an ATV before and I’m 65. Wet season is a little different.
Thanks Peto and AXR!
